Emirates Launches Full Premium Economy Service
Flyers can expect another distinct Emirates travel experience as the airline introduces its entire Premium Economy service offering onboard and on ground. Emirates launching a Premium Economy cabin will be available to purchase by the public early June 2022.
These highly sought after cabins offer luxurious seats, extra leg room and service that places them in competition with rival airlines offering similar level service but at a Business Class level. Emirates being the only airline in the region to offer a Premium Economy cabin is a groundbreaking move in the airline industry.
The Premimum Economy service will be available on popular A380 routes to London, Paris, Sydney, and Christchurch from August 1st to December 31st, 2022.
"As with everything we do, Emirates Premium Economy will be exceptional in its class, with minute attention paid to every aspect of the customer experience," said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline. Customers who upgrade from Economy will receive excellent value.
"Since introducing our Premium Economy seats in January 2021, we have received an overwhelming positive response and demand." We currently have six A380s equipped with this cabin class, which limits our initial deployment, but we intend to offer this experience in many more markets across our network in the future. We will begin our retrofit programme to install Premium Economy on 67 A380s and 53 Boeing 777s in November.

Customers can expect a dedicated check-in area for Premium Economy at Dubai International Airport, or they can use one of the many convenient self-service check-in kiosks in the hall to avoid queues.

Customers will notice the quiet luxury in Emirates' Premium Economy cabin as soon as they board. The cabin's mood is set by a wood panel finish similar to Business Class, and each seat is designed to provide optimal comfort and support with 6-way adjustable headrests.
The cream-colored leather seats recline 8 inches into a comfortable cradle position with plenty of room to stretch out and have a generous pitch of up to 40 inches. It also has calf and footrests for added comfort, as well as many other thoughtful features like easily accessible in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table.

Customers can relax under soft, sustainable blankets made from recycled plastic bottles or snuggle into the generously sized pillow, both of which are designed specifically exclusive for the Premium Economy Service. Customers will be greeted onboard with a welcome drink in fine glassware, incorporating elements inspired by Business Class. During meal service, a variety of generous meals prepared with seasonal ingredients and regional influences will be served on chinaware with stainless steel cutlery wrapped in a linen serviette. Unrivalled entertainment at 40,000 feet: Each seat has a 13.3" screen, one of the largest in its class, to enjoy Emirates' award-winning ice's unrivalled array of up to 5,000 channels of music, films, TV, news, and other content.
The Premium Economy cabin on an Emirates A380 is located at the front of the main deck and has 56 seats configured in a 2-4-2 configuration. Up to 24 Premium Economy seats will be installed in a dedicated cabin section between Business and Economy on the Emirates Boeing 777.
