Recently while through travelling Sydney Airport with Vietnam Airlines (Find out more about Vietnam Airlines Premium Economy here), the SkyTeam Lounge, Located downstairs close to gate 24 inside the Sydney International terminal, the SkyTeam Alliance Lounge opens up to an expansive space an amazing views out onto the runway from huge floor to ceiling windows.
The lounge split into multiple zones including a bar and dining area, lounge area and a workspace. The lounge area is by far the biggest area with lounges and armchairs spread out over the whole area. Each seat has at least one charging station in the armrest making it the perfect space to charge your devices and work before your flight.
The bar and food area are both self-serve, and because we visited the lounge before an early more flight a range of breakfast options were available including fresh fruit, cereals, and a selection of hot food options. In the bar area, there is a selection of fine wines, juice and soft drink on offer as well as three coffee machines including cold drip coffee.
Inside the lounge are also shower and bathroom facilities, to access the showers you will have to get a key from the front desk as they are locked when not in use. But the bathrooms were very nice and clean with luxury amenities.
